ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
B&L Transport has immediate openings for Experienced Tractor and Trailer Mechanics performing maintenance on company equipment. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, self-starter, with a desire to achieve excellence in the workplace. Candidate must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and strong diagnostic skills, able to perform major and minor repairs on heavy trucks. Truck model Peterbilts and Volvos.
Candidate must have experience with but not limited to:
- General tractor maintenance,
- Heavy duty repairs
- Tire installation and repair,
- General trailer preventative maintenance,
- Be able to perform diagnostic troubleshooting,
- Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
- Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of engine over-hauls, electrical electronic repairs (including ECM’s, ECU’s, and sensors), hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems, differentials, clutches, turbos, on vehicles and equipment.
- Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
- Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
- Completes required paperwork with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Candidate should have previous experience as a diesel tractor trailer mechanic. Preferred applicant is Cummins certified and/or have CDL license, but are not required.
